About the Youth Health Center
Looking for a place that actually gets teen health care? The Daly City Youth Health Center (DCYHC) was built for exactly that. We're the only health care provider in Northern San Mateo County designed specifically for young people — and we've been doing it for more than two decades, so we've heard every question you can imagine (and plenty you can't).
A clinic that's actually for you
Most clinics are built for adults, with teens squeezed in as an afterthought. DCYHC is the opposite: everything here — the staff, the hours, the way appointments work — is set up around the lives of people ages 12 to 24. The people who work here are friendly, trustworthy, and genuinely non-judgmental. Whatever you say at the Center stays at the Center.
That privacy isn't just a promise. When it comes to sensitive services — pregnancy, birth control, STI testing, counseling — your visit is confidential by law. Nobody back home finds out. You can read the full details in our confidentiality guide.
Where to find us
DCYHC sits in the heart of Daly City, an easy walk or bus ride from the neighborhoods and schools our patients come from. We work hand in hand with the Jefferson Union High School District and the San Mateo Medical Center, so if you ever need care beyond what a youth clinic can offer, we can connect you to it without the runaround.

Why it matters
Teens who have a clinic they trust actually use health care — they get tested, ask questions, and catch problems early. Teens who don't often go without, because adult clinics feel awkward and school nurses can't do everything. DCYHC exists so that "I didn't know where to go" is never the reason a health question goes unanswered.
Whether you need something specific or just want to know your options, call (650) 985-7000 and come see us. First visits are low-pressure: you can ask every question you have before agreeing to anything at all.
