Mental Health Counseling for Young People
Everyone struggles sometimes — with stress, sadness, family conflict, or things that are hard to even name. The Daly City Youth Health Center provides individual, group, and family counseling so you don't have to figure it all out alone. Our staff includes licensed therapists as well as registered interns and trainees from master's counseling programs, all experienced in working with young people.
Counseling is offered both at the Health Center and on local school campuses, which makes it easier to fit support into a normal school week.

What a counseling relationship looks like
Counseling is a conversation, not an interrogation. You talk about what's going on at your own pace, and your counselor helps you sort through it and build tools that actually work for your life. Nothing you say is shared outside the clinic without your permission, except in the rare safety situations the law requires — your counselor will explain exactly how that works at the first session.
